La Posada!
Sunday, December 13th
3:30 to 7:00 pm.

Lyndale will celebrate La Posada on Sunday, December 13th in the Lyndale
School from 3:30 to 7:00 pm. Las Mujeres Latinas en Accion of the Lyndale
neighborhood are proud to organize the 12th Annual la Posada celebration.

Before serving food we’ll sing the traditional La Posada song. We will serve
traditional foods such as tamales, rice, beans, buñuelos, and beef franks
for kids. The Hosmer Music Series is partnering with us to present the
incredible Mexico Lindo folklorico dancers again this year. We are also
bringing back Santa Claus, who will be there to meet the kids and pose for
photos. There will also be games and art activities for the kids.

Admission to La Posada is free, however, we ask for a suggested donation of
$3 for adults to help cover the food expenses. There are still volunteer
opportunities available. For more information, contact Sarah at
612-824-9402 ext. 12 or sarah at lyndale.org

Lyndale Annual Fund Drive – Please Give Today
How important is your neighborhood to you? Do you like living in an active
and engaged neighborhood?

If your answer is a lot and yes, please consider making a tax deductable
donation to the Lyndale Neighborhood Association. With our public funding
shrinking and with cut backs at many local foundations, now is the time
where LNA really needs everyone to step up to the plate and give to the
neighborhood.

To support your neighborhood, just stop by on-line at www.lyndale.org or
return a check in the Annual Fund Appeal you should have or be receiving
this week. Checks can be dropped off or mailed to the Lyndale Neighborhood
Association, 3537 Nicollet Avenue, Mpls, MN 55408.

Our hope is that you appreciate our work enough that LNA becomes one of your
top three charities, regardless of the amount you can afford to give –
because every gift matters to us.

Crime and Drug Holiday Get Together
Just a reminder that the Crime and Drug Holiday party is tonight, December
8th at Champions in the banquet room (Door on south side), at 6:30pm. It is
a potluck, so bring something to share. Also, crime and drug committee
members are encouraged to invite someone new or who hasn't been to a meeting
for a while. Let's make this a big, fun, gathering of folks- the more the
merrier!

Many people today wish to experience or recreate an early Christmas. They

capture an old fashioned Twin Cities Christmas and recreate it for yourself.
