the world take flight on a pilgrimage to find their celebrated king, but =

dangers and hardships encountered on the journey cause many in the flock =

Minneapolis
Residents of southwest Minneapolis are invited to hear more about =

service areas (CSAs) at information meetings held throughout March. The =
CSA
concept has grown out of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board=92s =
(MPRB)
2007-2020 Comprehensive Plan direction to =93deliver recreation that =
inspires
personal growth, healthy lifestyles and a sense of community.=94 A CSA =
is a
group of parks working together to provide programs and maintenance that =
are
tailored to the community=92s park and recreation needs. =20

In addition to learning more about CSAs, residents have the opportunity =

share their park and recreation needs. The goal of each CSAs is to =

park and recreation programs and maintenance to meet the needs of the

MPS to hold March community meetings
The Minneapolis Public Schools will hold a second round of community
meetings on potential changes in schools for fall 2010 during the weeks =
of
March 9 and 16. At the meetings, participants will have the opportunity =
to
review the purpose and timeline of Changing School Options, hear a =
summary
of feedback received in February, take a closer look at school =
scenarios,
share thoughts and ask questions.

Hosmer World Music Series
April 4 Paddy O=92Brien -- is a renowned authority and performer of =
Irish
music. He has traveled the Irish countryside learning traditional songs =
and
folklore, eventually collecting more than 3000 jigs, reels, airs and
marches. A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts allowed him to
record some 500 songs for his massive Paddy O'Brien Tune Collection: A
Personal Treasury of Irish Jigs and Reels. Real toe-tappin=92 music.=20
April 11 Dave Echelard -- introduces the hurdy-gurdy, an old form of
mechanically-played stringed instrument, in traditional and modern
applications. Dave appeared in the walker=92s recent performance of =
=93Making of
Americans=94 where he introduced the Hurdy gurdy with voice, something =
new to
the music and opera world.
April 18 Baroque Duo =96is a Viola de Gamba and violin group. The viol =
da
gamba is any one of a family of=20
bowed, fretted, stringed musical instruments developed in the 1400s and =
used
primarily in the Renaissance and Baroque periods. =20
